Welcome to Klaxo. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website design services and our website at klaxo.online (collectively, the "Services"). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Klaxo is a web design agency that builds custom websites for local service businesses worldwide. We provide custom website design, development, hosting, and ongoing support. You can reach us at contact@klaxo.online.

2. Services we provide

Klaxo provides:

  • Custom Website Build: A single-page or multi-page professional website built specifically for your business.
  • Domain registration: We register a domain name on your behalf in your business name.
  • Hosting & domain: Included for the first 30 days from launch, then covered by your Care Plan (see Section 5).
  • Care Plan: An optional $49/month subscription covering hosting, security, monitoring, and ongoing updates (see Section 5).
  • Support: Ongoing email support for questions and update requests, with priority response for Care Plan subscribers.
  • Updates: Post-launch website updates at the rates listed in Section 3.2 and on our Services page.

3. Pricing and payment

3.1 Website build

The price for a Klaxo Website is $650 USD, which includes the site build and your first 12 months of Care Plan (see Section 5). Payable as a one-time payment or as two payments of $325 with the second payment due 30 days after launch. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

3.2 Updates after launch

  • Small content updates (text edits, phone/hours, photo swap, testimonial add/remove, add a service to existing list): 2 per month included free with an active Care Plan, then $10 each
  • New sections added to the site: $25 each
  • New pages added: $99
  • Major design or layout changes: $99
  • Full redesign: $299

3.3 Hosting and domain

Your first 12 months of hosting and domain registration are included with your $650 build (as part of Care Plan year 1). After that, hosting and domain renewal are covered by your $49/month Care Plan (see Section 5). If you choose not to continue the Care Plan after year 1, you are responsible for arranging your own hosting and domain renewal. You may transfer your domain to your own registrar at any time.

4. Refund policy — 7-Day Live Site Guarantee

We back our work with a clear, written guarantee:

  • Before launch: Full refund available before your website is deployed live. To request a refund, email contact@klaxo.online before launch.
  • Within 7 days of launch: If you're not satisfied with your live site, you may choose either (a) up to 2 revision rounds to address your concerns, or (b) a $400 refund. Klaxo retains $250 for the work performed (research, design, build, deployment). The refund window starts on the date your site goes live, confirmed by our launch email.
  • After 7 days from launch: The $650 build fee is non-refundable.
  • If you choose the $400 refund: The site comes down (live URL goes 404). The domain remains registered to Klaxo and either lapses at renewal or is transferred to you at your option.
  • Payment plan: If you cancel after the first $325 payment but before launch, that payment is fully refunded. If you take the 7-day refund after launch, the second payment is not invoiced (or is refunded if already received).
  • Care Plan: Year 1 of the Care Plan is part of the $650 build and is not separately refundable. Year 2 onward ($49/month) is cancellable any time after the 12-month anniversary; no partial-month refunds.
  • Chargebacks: Filing a chargeback while in active contract is treated as a contract violation. We respond with the signed agreement and delivery proof, dispute the chargeback, and discontinue service immediately.

5. Care Plan

The Klaxo Care Plan keeps your website online, secure, and continuously improving. Year 1 is included in the $650 build; billing begins on the 12-month anniversary of your launch.

5.1 What's included

  • Hosting and domain renewal (Klaxo pays the registrar)
  • SSL certificate and security maintenance
  • Uptime monitoring
  • Privacy-friendly analytics
  • Monthly site report — visitor stats from the prior month, one observation, and a prompt to update anything that's changed
  • 2 small content updates per month — see Section 5.4 for definition
  • Quarterly SEO health check — Search Console review, page speed, broken-link scan, schema validation
  • Annual content review and refresh — top-to-bottom site review around the anniversary, with suggested updates included free
  • Email support with 24-hour business-day response

5.2 Price and billing

The Care Plan is $49/month USD, billed monthly through Stripe. Year 1 is included in the $650 build — no Care Plan charge during your first 12 months. Starting on the 12-month anniversary of your site's launch date, the $49/month subscription begins automatically. The exact start date is shown on your launch confirmation email. Work that exceeds your monthly Care Plan allowances (for example, additional content updates beyond 2 per month, or new pages) is billed at the rates in Section 3.2.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel the Care Plan at any time after the year-1 anniversary by emailing contact@klaxo.online. Cancellation stops future billing; your Care Plan benefits (including hosting and domain renewal) end at the close of your current paid period. Months already paid are non-refundable. Year 1 is part of the $650 build and is not separately cancellable — see Section 4 for the 7-Day Live Site Guarantee, which is the appropriate path during the first 7 days after launch.

Without an active Care Plan, you are responsible for arranging your own hosting and domain renewal. If you choose, we will help you transfer the domain to your own registrar.

5.4 What counts as a “small content update”?

A small content update is any one of the following:

  • Text change (hours, services, pricing, phone, email, address)
  • Add or remove a testimonial
  • Add a single service to the existing services list
  • Swap a single photo

Two of these per month are included free. Unused updates do not roll over to the next month.

The following are not “small content updates” and are quoted separately at the rates in Section 3.2: new pages, site redesigns or restructures, new features (booking, scheduling, e-commerce, etc.), and major copy rewrites.

6. Delivery timeline

We commit to delivering your live website within 48 hours of payment clearance, during business days (Monday–Friday). Payments received over the weekend or on holidays will begin the 48-hour clock on the next business day.

If we are unable to deliver within 7 business days due to circumstances on our end, you are entitled to a full refund.

7. Your responsibilities

To launch your website, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate business information (name, address, phone, services)
  • Respond to revision requests within a reasonable timeframe
  • Pay any outstanding invoices on time
  • Not use the website for illegal, infringing, or harmful purposes

8. Ownership and intellectual property

Once your website is paid for and launched:

  • You own: Your domain name, your business content, your logo, your photos, and the live website.
  • Klaxo retains: The right to display your website in our portfolio for marketing purposes unless you opt out in writing.
  • Third-party assets: Stock photos or icons used in your site are licensed for use within your site only, not for separate redistribution.

9. Revisions

Every Klaxo Website includes one round of free revisions before launch. Revisions requested after launch are billed at the update rates listed in Section 3.2.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Klaxo's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our Services is limited to the amount you paid Klaxo in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Klaxo is not liable for:

  • Lost revenue, profits, or business opportunities
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Third-party service outages (Stripe, Cloudflare, Vercel, Twilio, etc.)
  • Issues caused by changes you make to your site after launch through third parties

11. Cancellation and termination

You may cancel your service at any time by emailing contact@klaxo.online. Cancellation effects depend on whether your site has launched (see Section 4) and, for the Care Plan, Section 5.

Klaxo may terminate service if you violate these Terms, fail to pay invoices, or use our Services for harmful or illegal purposes. We will provide written notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure before termination where possible.

12. Disputes

Any disputes arising from these Terms will first be addressed through good-faith communication. If we cannot resolve a dispute within 30 days, both parties agree to attempt resolution through small claims court in Los Angeles County, California, before pursuing other remedies.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated by email to active clients at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of our Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
